January in the gallery

Things are looking up.  It is the slowest month in the year and we have already sold 4 paintings and several pieces of Jewellery.  Congratulations Olivia O'Carra, Alison Walsh and Deborah O'Keeffe.

 We are continuing to expand our artists.  We will also have CD's on sale of many our local musicians. Please stay tuned for updates on all our new artist and craft makers.

Wednesday 4:30 until 6pm ages 7 to 9

We will be holding a candle making work shop (date to be anounced). 

An artist reception on the 26th of February at 7pm until 10pm.  Meet the artist and listen to some great live music.

Killarney has a new Gallery

There is a new Gallery in Killarney!!!   Scotts Street, off of Plunket Street.   Fine arts and craft all hand made in Kerry.   Paintings by,Artist Deborah O'Keeffe, Oliva O'Carra, Ted Jones. Sean Canning, Teresa O'Keeffe, Roman Burgen, Lora Murphy and Tina Reed  are available at the gallery.

Spent the last 2 day in the gallery and used the time to paint.  Finished today.  Title Skellig Michael meets Lord of the Ring 24" x 30" pastel on Fisher 400 paper.

Three New Artist at the Back Lane Gallery

We are proud to have 3 new artist at the gallery for the next few months.  Thaddeus Soffer who is a young artist who is sure to make a big impact with his unique style.  Diane Lavery is a legend.  She is in her mid 80's an still paints every day!  She will be an inspiration to all.  Theresa O'Keeffe paints wonderful scenes from around Cork and Kerry in oils.  Also Some of the other artist have added new work to their collection, Oliva O'Carra has brought in some wonderful winter paintings in oil.  I have also been busy painting winter scenes.  With all the snow we had it has been a great inspiration.  To see all the artsits and their work, please click on the name of the artists exhibiting.

New Exhibition at the Back Lane Gallery

Please join us in welcoming some new artist to the gallery and of course some of our old ones.  On 5th of February at 7pm.  There will be live entertainment by Tim O'Shea and friends.   So please come and enjoy a glass of wine some great music and best of all some wonderful local art!!!

The Back Lane Gallery has a new Blog

The Back Lane Gallery New Market Lane Killarney is now in it's third month.  We have 3 new artists and  have just started a new blog for The Gallery.  Each artist will be able keep you posted on any upcoming events or exciting news in their lives.   We are new so bear with us.  We will be up a running very soon.  I hope to see you in the Gallery.  If not this is the next best thing.  I hope you enjoy our blog.
