Killarney has a new Art Gallery

Art Gallery Scotts Street Killarney

Finally an art gallery wher you can buy local art by local artist.

The Back Lane Gallery relocated to Scotts Street in Killarney, opened in December 2010.  It is the first ever artist cooperative showcasing the artistic talent of County Kerry.  In the 1990s New Market Lane was designated to be an area where artists and craft makers would sell their work,  Patrick Quill, the owner of buildings on New Market Lane, wants to complete this vision by renting the remaining units to the community it was intended to promote. Currently along with the Back Lane Gallery,  is a photography gallery and cool and funky cafe run by young entrepreneurs.  This endeavor is a long overdue plan that is intended to enrich the community.

Please stop by the Back Lane Gallery New Market Lane Killarney We have art works from artists living in Killarney and the surrounding area, jewelery and craft all made by local craft workers. One of a kind gifts and works of art and cards are all here under on...e roof. Please support you local artist and business. Hope I see you soon PS Cafe is in full swing The house of Photography open next door. Skellig Chocolate is opening soon. Craft market will be open the 1st of June for the summer.

Those interested in renting the units and becoming part of this creative community can contact Patrick Quill: phone:  00353 86 8194722  email:john@quillscork.com
